PERFECTLY PAINTED

Say goodbye to spending hours looking for the perfect rug... and hello to adding pattern and excitement to any room.  I am simply smitten with the idea of a painted floor. I especially love what the chevron designs and bright colors [a la the kate spade boutique] add to these spaces...

WEDDING ON THE WEEKEND: KATE MOSS

Too stunning not to share is really how I feel about the insanely lovely wedding of Kate Moss + Jamie Hince. Ethereal, soft, and captured oh so beautifully by my favorite Mario Testino - it was simply dreamy...

ON ASHLEY'S DESK

I have loved Ashley of Lemon and Lavender's sweet and feminine work ever since I saw it for the first time. When I got engaged, she was the clear choice to create my wedding suite. I couldn't have envisioned a more beautiful suite myself. She was so wonderful to work with and so very talented. Today she is sharing my Save The Date, and a sneak peek of my wedding invites...

Thanks Ashley! You have made me one very happy bride!

HUNG WITH A BOW

For the longest time, the way that Ryan Korban uses sashes and ribbon to hang beautiful frames has caught my eye in his designs. Whether his, or somewhere else - it always creates the same effect of height, glamor, and texture. Doesn't it feel sumptuous?

SNAPSHOTS FROM: MY WEEKEND

The last few weeks of my life have probably been some of the busiest ever.
My wedding is 6 weeks away, and as many other brides might tell you - at this point it pretty much consumes you. I spent much of this weekend at my parents lakefront home, and around my little neighborhood enjoying the sunny moments the weekend offered...

Things got off to a great start when this absolutely gorgeous bouquet was delivered from my sister and brother in law to be. I'm so lucky to have such thoughtful people in my life!

These beauties arrived from the lovely and talented Ashley [at Lemon and Lavender] and I couldn't be more thrilled. It's just a sneak peek, but I was dying to share!

I spend a lot of time riding around my little scooter, and my favorite outings are the ones that include my pup, too!

My dear friend Kara, [you may know her as Miss Cheeky Chic] and I spent an afternoon giving these little electronic boats a go. Trinket spent the afternoon unexpectedly jumping off the boat and swimming.

My sweet cousin[and bridesmaid!] gave these fun, beaded friendship bracelet to me, and I have been wearing them ever since!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

LITTLE MIRRORS

I've been seeing these perfect little mirrors pop up in all kinds of unexpected places lately... and I'm kind of in love with them. Even though they don't sparkly persay - they add that glamorous little finishing touch to all of these spaces...

MONOTONE MONDAY

I am happy to finally be back after a somewhat unexpected week long hiatus.
M and I were so excited to host family in town last week and spent many hours on an overhaul of our apartment - it turned out so great but left me thinking about our bedroom. It has long been my favorite room in our apartment - maybe its the slightly monotone feel against the rest of the bright and bold apartment. As much as I like to change things up once in a while - my bedroom really never gets old... it got me thinking about these other well executed and sumptuous monotone bedrooms...

What are your thoughts? Lots of color and different patterns and texture? Or do these soothing tones speak to you?

J'ADORE ADORE: CONDO CULTURE

Originally having seen vignettes of this lovely Canadian apartment before, I was naturally intrigued when I saw the whole spread in this months Adore Home Magazine. True to Aussie style, really, are the sumptuous bright colors juxtaposed with clean white...

I think I might even have a little design crush on Peter Wild, who decorated this space absolutely flawlessly. He clearly has a wonderful understanding of color and texture - and a meticulous eye for how they work together...

The stripes, the florals, the fantastically feminine chandelier.. paired with classic pieces of furniture and luxurious textural elements like natural fibers and tufting is complete perfection.

The seemingly unexpected room with little bright color works because these colors are muted, as the bright colors are very true hues.
