Wander Over Wednesday

I am so excited to be introducing a new guest series on luxe + lillies called Wander Over Wednesday. During the next several weeks, every Wednesday, I look forward to introducing you to some of the blogger's whom I follow and find great inspiration from (there are many!), and hopefully make you want to wander over to all of their awesome blogs!

This week I am excited to introduce you to Sarah from Walking Around Where the Sidewalk Begins.  Bubbly and sweet, here is Sarah...

My dream office looks like: Celerie Kemble's

What I love most about my city:  I adore living in NYC and feel so lucky to be surrounded by amazing people. There’s so much to entertain here, I love dining out, walks in the park, live music, the fashion inspiration. And it’s nice to be able to slip away from it all and retreat to a cozy apartment too.

What I love most about my day: I don’t have anything in particular – everyday is so different.

My favorite color palette is... If we’re talking colors for fashion – I always love shades of blue and pink.
When I'm not blogging I...  I work a lot! But when I’m not, I love to spend time with friends and family and get away from the office and the computer.

My favorite space in my home is: My room, I opted to share an apartment so I’d have a spacious bedroom and living/dining space. I love my bedroom, it has a large window overlooking gardens and terraces; it’s going to be beautiful when the trees bloom!

My 5 favorite things RIGHT now: It was hard for me to pick just a few, so I chose a letter and found five things that I love that start with P.
Photography: All kinds, lifestyle, surf and foodie photography especially. Rodney Smith is one of my favorites.
Playlist's: I love finding new music and making the perfect playlist. I just made a mellow one for spring that’s on the blog.

Picnics: There is something perfect about the combination of being outdoors, lounging, and eating in a beautiful setting. I love to make a menu of favorite salads, cheeses and sweets and vino for a leisurely picnic.
Paris: It’s such a romantic and lovely city, I especially love Paris at night and have never been in the warmer months. So I’m hoping to go in the summer some day;)

Peanut Butter: I eat it by the spoonfuls, and love peanut butter in almost everything! I found this recipe for peanut butter and banana sandwich on homemade chocolate chip bread; I would add fluff and grill it! Yum.

Thank You Sarah!

I Love... X-Benches

The past three weeks have been an absolute crazy time. We have had guests non-stop, and in the last two weeks, overlapping. I am just about exhausted from all of the entertaining, and outings.  I have loved seeing all my family and friends, but, we're almost done! Yesterday, when I was changing the bedding for the last guest in our guest room, I realized that it is seriously lacking some seating or space to lay clothing/ other belongings on. I REALLY want some X-Benches....

some blue velvet beauties like these would do too...

Golden Yellow

Sorry for the delay today! None the less, I have a beautiful color inspiration to share with you! Golden yellow has really never been a color that has crossed my mind for a room. But after following Emily at Emily A. Clark's bathroom makeover, I am inspired by the color.  As a background, golden yellow is a surprisingly versatile color, and a happy one at that!

Bright and Beautiful

I was so excited when I stumbled across these pictures on Traditional Home, because this house has been in the back of my memory since high school when I had the pleasure of seeing it with my own eyes. Dana Alpeter, a friend and neighbor of my aunt's decorated her renovated 1930's home in chic jewel tones, with contemporary flair. I have often thought of the way this house is so well put together with the menagerie of colors and even how in the dead of a cold Minnesota winter, it would still be warm and inviting!

Purely Spring

The rain is starting to giveway to a pretty day here in Florida, but I didn't so much mind the rain. I feel like rain in the spring is very refreshing.  I think the invigorating energy of spring is beautifully captured in these photos by Elisabeth Toll.

Small Spaces

Theres really nothing extra special about these spaces (is that silly to say?) But,  I think its great how they just simply work. Let's be honest, not every last space in our homes can be as fabulous as a picture in a magazine, and I think thats what I like about these little rooms, they are functional, yet decorated. What do you think?

Daydream Vacation... Putting Down Roots in Paris

Ending in my favorite city,  Paris,  I think I might just stay for a while...

I would stay in a place with these exquisite windows, the sure to be silky and sumptuous curtains that frame them, and a balcony where I could spend the evening gazing over the city.

I would wear this...

eat, drink, and lounge here...

spend a lazy afternoon taking in the sights here (at Versailles)...

ride around in this...

and rest my head here...

Daydream Vacation... Making a Stop In Marakkesh

My next stop would be Marakkesh.  The historic beauty, the pristine scenery, and the quiet wind swaying you in the breeze, delightful!

I would stay here...

I would wear this...

eat, drink and lounge here...

ride a camel to take in the sunset here...

and rest my head here...

The Most Glam Mom Ever

Stick with me while I'm in la la land this afternoon.
I hope I look this fabulous someday (er, everyday hehe) when I have kids...
OK, but seriously, how glam does this photoshoot from Vogue Italia want to make parenting? Love it.

I Love... Ryan Korban

I have been obsessed with the immensely talented Ryan Korban since he was featured in the third issue of Lonny Magazine.  There is just one word for his interiors... sexy. I love the wide range of textures, the extremely subtly pops of color, and best of all the coziness of each and every room.  I just don't have any other words for all the fabulous elements other than, I LOVE!
